Jan Stacey Bieler

Stacey first met Chinese scholars at UCLA in 1982 when she was an international student specialist with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. She has been part of ministry teams working with international students at churches in CA and MI. She has also served as a board member and associate director of the Association of Christian Ministers to Internationals. She has served as the president of Community Volunteers for International Programs at MSU. In November 2005 she directed MSU’s Global Festival, an afternoon highlighting international students’ performances and displays.
She is the co-author of China At Your Doorstep and Chinese Intellectuals and the Gospel. Her latest book is "Patriots" or "Traitors"? A History of American-educated Chinese Students. Her husband, Tom, teaches engineering at Michigan State University and she has a daughter, Renee.
